Digital Competencies and Tools for Enhanced VET on Tourism and Accessibility

DIVETOUR is a project Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme that aimed to introduce innovative training methodologies and tools for the growth of accessible tourism.
Exogenous shocks (pandemics, wars, economic crisis, extreme weather events, etc.) put and are still putting a strain on the tourism sector, and, now more than ever, it is necessary to rethink this sector, starting with the design of a tourism that is accessible to everyone. DIVETOUR project intended to contribute to this pathway.

Students and professionals of the tourism sector have been involved in this project and now they can avail themselves of effective tools to address the current challenges that are present in this sector in terms of accessible tourism. The project was carried out by eight European partners from Belgium, Italy, Lithuania, Slovenia, and Spain, each one with specific expertise in areas such as tourism, accessible tourism, communication, innovation and training. This helped to produce a truly international result.

DIVETOUR was and still is a digital journey, and here, in its online platform, you can find its main outputs: training materials used for its MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), a game based app, a chatbot and immersive 360° VR videos. With these tools, students and professionals of the tourism sector can greatly enrich their competencies interactively, collaboratively and – most importantly – respectfully.

By special agreement, we offer the free “T-GUIDE” online training course, accredited by ENAT in conjunction with FEG - The European Association of Tourist Guide Associations.
The T-Guide course is supplemented by face-to-face training and practical learning activities provided by FEG, for a fee .
